What It Is: Our #308S Supersoft TearAway is a 1.8oz technical nonwoven designed for comfort. Engineered with longer polyester fibers and a specialized wet-laid process, this stabilizer provides dimensional stability during the stitch-out but transitions into a soft, fibrous "worn-in" feel after the first wash.

Application Guidelines:

• The "Next-to-Skin" Solution: Ideal for Oxford shirts, lightweight denim, and children’s wear. Unlike standard "crisp" tearaways that can leave sharp remnants, the Supersoft version is specifically designed for apparel where the embroidery back will sit directly against the skin.
• Long-Fiber Technology: By utilizing elongated polyester fibers, this stabilizer offers superior stitch holding and coverage while maintaining a soft, drapable hand. It provides the coverage of a cutaway with the convenience of a tearaway.
• Clean Tear, Soft Edge: While it is dimensionally stable in the hoop, it is formulated to tear away cleanly. The remaining fibers are soft and pliable, ensuring zero irritation for the end user.

Laboratory Pro-Tips:

• The Oxford Recipe: For dress shirts and wovens, pair the 1.8oz Supersoft with a 70/10 or 75/11 Sharp needle. This minimizes the perforation size and allows the stabilizer to do its job without adding bulk to the placket or chest.
• Friction Defense: Even in our softest line, we include integrated needle lubricants. This reduces needle heat and prevents thread breaks during high-speed production runs.
