Sharp Point DBXK5
Description
Organ DB×K5 Sharp Point Industrial Embroidery Needles | Large Eye (Base SKU: DBXK5-SP | System: DB×K5 | 100 Needles per Box)
The Industry Standard for Commercial Woven Embroidery. Achieve crisp, clean details on your caps, jackets, and woven goods with the industry's most reliable commercial sharp needle. The Organ DB×K5 Sharp Point is engineered specifically for high-volume commercial embroidery machines. Featuring an aggressive point designed to pierce through tough materials without deflecting, combined with an Over-Sized Large Eye, this is the essential workhorse for your heavy-duty structural runs.
Is this needle for you? ⚠️ IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY CHECK: These needles have a ROUND SHANK. They are designed strictly for Commercial/Industrial Embroidery Machines (e.g., Tajima, Barudan, SWF, Ricoma, Brother PR Series). They will NOT fit standard home sewing machines (which require a flat-sided shank).
Key Performance Features
Sharp Point Profile: Designed specifically for densely woven materials. This needle pierces cleanly through heavy canvas, tough cap buckram, and thick jacket backing, ensuring crisp stitch placement without the needle deflection that causes broken threads.
Over-Sized "Large Eye": The eye is significantly larger than standard needles, allowing embroidery thread to flow freely. This drastically reduces friction, prevents thread shredding, and is essential for standard 40wt threads or metallic runs.
OEM Quality: Produced to the exact tolerances required by the world's leading machine manufacturers to ensure consistent timing and fewer skipped stitches.
Best Use Practices
Primary Use: Standard commercial embroidery on woven fabrics, structured caps, heavy outerwear, and canvas.
Warning for Knits: Because this is a Sharp point, it is NOT recommended for delicate knits, performance wear, or t-shirts (as the sharp tip may cut the fabric fibers). For knits, please purchase our Ball Point (SES) needles.
When to Change: For industrial use, we recommend changing standard chromium needles every 8 to 12 hours of actual run time to prevent "burrs" that cause thread breaks and fabric damage.
Thread Recommendations: Ideal for 40wt and 30wt Polyester/Rayon.
Needle Size Guide
Size 65/9 & 70/10: Best for ultra-fine woven fabrics and small lettering/fine detail.
Size 75/11: The "Universal" size for 90% of all standard woven embroidery tasks.
Size 80/12 & 90/14: Best for heavy 3D puff foam, rigid structured caps, canvas, or thick jackets.
