Flat Shank Ball Point 15x1 Hax1
Description
Organ 15x1 / HAx1 Ball Point Home Embroidery Needles | Flat Shank (Base SKU: 15x1-Hax1-BP | System: 15x1 / HAx1 | 100 Needles per Box)
The Industry Standard for Home Sewing & Embroidery on Knits. Protect your favorite t-shirts and stretch fabrics with the ultimate needle for home-based machines. The Organ 15x1 Ball Point (also known as HAx1) is the universal standard for home sewing, quilting, and desktop embroidery. Engineered with a flat shank for foolproof insertion and a specialized ball point tip, this needle ensures flawless stitches on your delicate knits without causing fabric damage.
Is this needle for you? ⚠️ IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY CHECK: These needles feature a FLAT SHANK. They are designed strictly for Home Sewing, Quilting, and Home-Based Embroidery Machines (e.g., standard Brother, BabyLock, Bernina, Singer, Janome). They will NOT fit high-speed commercial/industrial machines (which require a round shank).
Key Performance Features
Flat Shank Alignment: The flat side on the top of the needle ensures it can only be inserted one way into your home machine. This guarantees perfect needle alignment every time, eliminating timing issues and preventing machine damage.
Ball Point (SES) Profile: Unlike a sharp needle that cuts through fabric, the Ball Point is designed to gently part the fibers of knitted garments. This completely prevents the needle from slicing the yarn, eliminating those disastrous holes that appear around your embroidery after the first wash.
Standard Eye: Perfectly sized for smooth thread delivery when using standard 40wt embroidery thread or all-purpose sewing threads.
OEM Quality: Produced to the exact tolerances required by the world's leading home machine manufacturers to ensure consistent tension and fewer skipped stitches.
Best Use Practices
Primary Use: Desktop embroidery, standard sewing, and quilting on knits, polo shirts, t-shirts, performance wear, and stretch fabrics.
Warning for Wovens: Because this is a Ball Point, it is not recommended for tightly woven, stiff materials like heavy canvas or structured caps. For rigid wovens, please use a Sharp point needle.
When to Change: For home machines, we recommend changing your needle every 8 hours of actual stitching time, or at the start of every major project, to prevent invisible burrs that shred your thread.
Thread Recommendations: Ideal for standard 40wt embroidery thread and general-purpose sewing threads.
Needle Size Guide
Size 75/11: The Universal size for 90% of all standard t-shirts, light knits, and everyday home embroidery projects.
Size 80/12 & 90/14: Best for heavier knit sweaters, sweatshirts, or navigating thicker layers during quilting.
